AZZU is a Sydney born luxury home fragrance brand creating top-shelf scented candles for people who believe fragrance and design can transform the feeling of a space.
Born out of obsession, AZZU began when founder Daniel Richards started making candles for his own home. After months spent perfecting scents and searching for a vessel that felt as considered as the fragrance inside, the original AZZU HOME asymmetrical glass candle was born.
Today, AZZU is entering its next chapter. Each new candle brings together cosmetic-grade fragrance, a natural coconut-soy wax blend, double cotton wicks and a custom glossy ceramic vessel designed to remain part of your home long after the final burn.

Top-shelf fragrance that changes the atmosphere
Each AZZU scent is developed to do more than make a room smell beautiful. Using cosmetic-grade fragrance, it sets a mood, holds a memory and gives an everyday space a distinct sense of place.
A candle made slowly and made to last
AZZU candles are made to order and hand-poured in micro-batches in Sydney, Australia. The new 550 g format uses two cotton wicks and is designed to provide 120+ hours of fragrance when burned and cared for correctly.
An object worth keeping
From AZZU's original asymmetrical glass candle to its new sculptural ceramic form, the vessel has always been central to the brand. The new glossy ceramic vessel is made to feel like part of the room not packaging to hide away and can be cleaned and repurposed as a decorative or storage object after the final burn.

Born from genuine obsession
AZZU did not begin with a generic private label product. It began with candles made for personal use, months of scent refinement and a search for a vessel that was both aesthetic and versatile. That hands-on curiosity still shapes every product.
120+ hours of fragrance
AZZU's generous 550 g format is designed to deliver more than 120 hours of burn time when the candle is burned and maintained as directed. That means fewer replacements and more time to live with a scent you love.
A custom sculptural vessel
The glossy ceramic vessel was developed as an AZZU object in its own right, with soft, irregular curves and a distinctive recessed logo detail. It is designed to complement an interior rather than disappear into it.
A considered double-wick burn
Two cotton wicks help create a wide, even melt pool and a generous fragrance experience across larger rooms. They mark a deliberate evolution from AZZU's original recycled wood-wick candle while preserving the smooth, atmospheric burn at the heart of the brand.

AZZU is an independent Australian brand, with its creative direction developed in Sydney and every candle made to order and hand-poured locally in micro-batches. Keeping production small makes the process personal and every detail closely considered.
Thoughtful materials
AZZU uses a natural coconut-soy wax blend and cosmetic-grade fragrance. Its candles are vegan and cruelty-free with formulas free from parabens and phthalates.

The story behind AZZU
AZZU was born out of founder Daniel Richards' obsession with fragrance and interiors. Daniel first began creating candles for personal use, then spent months perfecting the scents and searching for a vessel that could be both aesthetic and versatile. That process led to the original AZZU HOME asymmetrical glass candle.
With a background in styling and creative direction, Daniel saw the candle as more than fragrance alone. The vessel, wax, scent, typography and packaging all needed to belong to the same world.
The latest AZZU rebrand carries that original idea forward in a more refined form: a custom sculptural ceramic vessel, a substantial double-wick candle and an entirely considered unboxing experience. The product has evolved, but the obsession behind it has not.
A note from Daniel
I started making candles for myself because I could never find one that brought everything together the right scent, the right vessel and the right feeling in a room. AZZU grew from that obsession. It brings together everything I love about fragrance, interiors and creative direction, with every detail designed to make the everyday feel a little more transporting.

Poured and prepared with care
Each candle is made to order and hand-poured in micro-batches in Sydney, Australia. It is allowed to cure, checked and then packed in its protective presentation packaging. Current processing estimates are always listed on the AZZU shipping page.
Burn it beautifully
For the best experience, trim both wicks to approximately 5 mm before every burn and allow the first burn to form an even melt pool. Follow the candle-care instructions supplied with your order for a cleaner, longer lasting burn.
